Description:
Reporting to General Manager and shop lead mechanic, the essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
• Travel to sites for service calls when required
• Assisting with maintaining a clean environment
• Assist with maintaining an organized shop
• Work effectively & cooperatively with fellow employees
• Perform routine maintenance
• Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications.
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Reassemble engines after repair or maintenance work is complete.
• Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used.
• Complete all maintenance and repair activities in a safe and healthy manner according to Company policies and procedures

Requirements:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
• Valid G or higher Driver’s License
• Welding Experience
• Experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of small equipment, both gasoline and diesel type engines.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and successfully repair the equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnoses, and repair equipment with accuracy and speed.
• Ability to MIG and Stick Weld
• Ability to maintain written equipment maintenance records
• Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret general instructions. Ability to neatly fill out a timesheet.
• Computer Competency:
Minimal, Emailing and knowledge of Outlook and Internet an asset.
• Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, area and volume.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee will frequently work in outside weather condition, this will expose the employees to hot, wet and humid, and sub-zero conditions. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.
