Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services in London, ON is looking to hire a Full Time, Shop Mechanic. For over 50 years, Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services has provided award-winning landscape management services to Fortune 500 companies, property management firms, government and private and public organizations and now in 2023, we are adding to our team. We are actively seeking someone that is dedicated to providing the highest level of service and is excited about working with our team of mechanics to keep our equipment running safely and efficiently. This opportunity best suits to an individual who enjoys maintaining a variety of equipment, has availability to work straight days in the summer with flexibility to accommodate a fluctuating work schedule in the winter months.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work along with other mechanics and shop personnel, reporting to our shop foreman. • Managing timelines and completion of shop work. • Adjusting / replacing / repairing machinery, vehicles and equipment as required. • Documenting maintenance and repairs according to standard procedures. • Diagnosing faults and malfunctions. • Maintaining flexibility and helping the team meet its goals. • Ensuring and monitoring safe work practices in accordance with Ontario’s Occupational Health & Safety regulations. • Adhering to Clintar’s standard operating policies and procedures. • Benefits offered include extended health, dental and life insurance.

Requirements:
• Own transportation, valid driver’s licence, clean driving record; abstract required at time of interview. • Successful candidate will have their own tools.

Qualifications:
• Valid 310T Mechanic Licence – preferred. • Valid Heavy Equipment 421A an asset but not a requirement.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
• Experience welding and fabricating. • Able to lead a team and deliver results within tight deadlines. • Small engine repair. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Familiarity with tractors and loaders is considered an asset. • Desire to continuously learn and work on new equipment. • Ability to work well without direct supervision. • Must be flexible with scheduling as shift work may be required.
