Clintar Winnipeg is now hiring for the position of Field Supervisor .

Description:
Key responsibility is to provide quality and timely service of Clintar Landscape Management landscape project requirements for customers through the training and supervision of field staff. This includes contributing to the planning and execution of work requirements, providing quality control through site visits and working to maximize the potential of the staff and equipment resources available. Able to work in the Winter months cleaning snow and able to supervise the snow crews.

Duties & Responsibilities:
*Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties · Directly supervises crew leaders and crew members both for summer and winter operations. · Ensures equipment and material are assigned to crews. · Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HR Policies and Procedures and applicable laws. · Plan and conduct ongoing training for landscape project field service staff in customer service and technical skills; and health & safety policies and procedures. · Inspect each landscape project daily to ensure the required standard of service is being provided according to contractual requirements. · Respond to customer service issues and develop procedures to eliminate customer complaints. · Assist the Operations Manager in monitoring of the yard and facility organization. · Determine work procedures, prepare daily work schedules and expedite work flow to ensure maximum efficiency. · Ensure proper and safe operation of all vehicles and equipment used when carrying out the landscape project work requirements. · Ensure that all daily time sheets, work tickets and vehicle logs are completed accurately. · Monitor and ensure the efficient and safe use of materials and equipment by field staff. · Work directly with staff during winter operations leading a crew. · Maintain morale among field staff and actively promote teamwork. · Prepare composite labor reports from individual reports for job costing. · Evaluate performance and administer disciplinary action consistent with company policy and procedures.

Education and/or Experience:
A degree/diploma from university, college or horticultural school or equivalent; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: as required by Federal and Provincial laws

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
· Must frequently lift/or move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to fifty pounds. · The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. · Noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Summer- Able to manage summer crews in there weekly maintenance. Winter- Plow crews set up for cleaning snow. Making sure all sanding trucks are loading for there nights work. Making sure all lots are cleaned and sanded and all side walk clear of snow.

Work Conditions:
Outdoor Summer and Winter months.
