Clintar Makes Two More Wishes Come True!
It has always been of utmost importance to Clintar to uphold and support individuals and families across Canada. As a company, it is important for us to come together to raise support and donations for those who need it most.
Make-A-Wish Canada® has been our official charitable organization for a few years now, and we couldn’t be prouder to continue working alongside such an incredible organization to help fulfil the wishes and dreams of as many children as possible. Our CCO and VP of Sustainability, Kimberly Khoury, continues to act as a Corporate Cabinet member for Make-A-Wish Canada®, helping to seamlessly align our community goals with their needs.
Our franchise teams across Canada continue to unite with Make-A-Wish Canada®, and together we’re raising funds to enrich the lives of children with critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish Canada® is a chapter of Make-A-Wish International®. Founded in 1980, they’ve helped nearly half-a-million children with life-threatening illnesses fulfill their biggest wishes and dreams.
Giving Back to Help Make Wyatt and Jake’s Wishes Come True
This past year, Clintar’s fundraising efforts for Make-A-Wish Canada® helped to make special wishes come true for 12-year-old Wyatt, and 14-year-old Jake who live with blood disorders that impact their lives and require a number of hospital visits with their doctors. Both Wyatt and Jake wished for gaming computers, and we were more than happy to be able to make both of their wishes come true!
Jake loves rock music, pizza, and playing video games in his free time. He wanted his own gaming laptop, which allowed him the independence to play his favourite video game, Halo, and to help with his schoolwork.
Wyatt loves football, country music, and playing video games. Since his diagnosis, video games have brought him a lot of joy, so he wanted a gaming laptop as well both for play and schoolwork!
Granting wishes can truly be transformative in these children’s lives during a time when they need it the most, and we are happy to continue doing our part in bringing joy and happiness back to the lives of as many children as we can. We look forward to supporting more children like Jake and Wyatt in the future!
Core Values and the Impact of a Wish
At Clintar, we put the emphasis on environment-first as a way of doing business. The principles behind this approach are really twofold: Protecting our natural resources and preserving an environment for future generations to enjoy. Therefore, it was an easy decision to team up with Make-A-Wish® to make the world a brighter, more hopeful place for children in need. According to a recent Impact Study:
When wish kids are granted a wish, they get more than just a great experience for a day, two days, or a week. That experience improves the quality of life for them and their entire family. Health professionals treating them say the wish experience is an important adjunct to medical treatment, and they observe their patients feel better and comply more readily with treatment protocols when they experience their wish come true. And the community volunteers who grant wishes say the wish-granting process heightens both their ability to see the best in others and their commitment to actively help more people in need.
