Please introduce yourself and the market/ territory you serve
My name is Jason Rosen and I own the Vaughan franchise.
How did you end up at Clintar?
I used to have Esso car washes and gas stations for about 25 years. I was looking for a change and my sister actually knew the founder of Clintar through her work as a lawyer, and thought it’d be a good idea if I go and speak to them. I went and spoke to Bob and basically there was a franchise available for sale and I bought it.
What are some benefits that most people don’t know about Clintar?
The biggest benefit being a part of Clintar is all the other offices and how you can lean on them for advice and help and guidance on different jobs that you’re doing, issues that you’re having that they’ve had before, knowing where to get equipment and where to get the best price.
You can’t do it alone. What can you tell us about the people you work with?
I have a lot of people that have been with me for quite a few years. Mike Rocchetti is my operations manager, he’s been with me for eight years now. He’s an integral part of the business, he’s helped me a lot. Also, we’ve had a lot of other staff members who’ve been around for five, six years, and it’s like a family.
What are your immediate goals over the next 2 years?
Well, my goal is to increase the sales by 30% by expanding out into hardscaping a lot of the other offices have done that successfully, and I think that’s my next goal.
Tell us about your family outside of Clintar.
I have two boys Jake and Caleb. One is finished university and working at BMO, trying to get into law school. The other one’s at Windsor finishing his engineering degree and he also has his own business doing tree work and small construction. And yeah, they’re my best buddies.
What’s your favourite part about the business?
My favourite part is just dealing with all the staff, the interaction, getting to know people getting to know the clients, helping, solve their problems and doing a good job.
