Description:
Clintar Barrie is seeking Crew Leads to maintain gardens on commercial properties in the Barrie area. Applicants should have experience in weeding, edging, pruning and other gardening duties. Operation of zero turn mowers and string trimmers is an asset. Year round work is available to interested employees. We offer competitive wages and a comprehensive company paid benefits plan (for year round employees). Hours are full time Monday to Fridays.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-You will be responsible for operating a company vehicle and attending customer properties where your crew and you will maintain garden beds as required. This will involve removing weeds, cultivation, pruning, identifying plant and property issues, It may also involve planting projects and mulch installation. Re-assignment to a mowing crew may occasionally occur based on needs. You will occasionally converse with on-site customers in regards to their properties. You will train and motivate crew members. Compensation for this position starts at $25/hr.

Requirements:
2 years or more experience in commercial garden maintenance and a good working knowledge of plant identification is required. Related education is a plus. Ontario drivers license class G or G2 is required along with a clean driver's abstract.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
This position involves outdoor work in various weather conditions. It involves walking, lifting up to 40lbs, kneeling, and bending.

Work Conditions:
This position is outdoors in all types of weather. It involves exposure to dirt, grass , and various other plant materials.
