Clintar Winnipeg is now hiring for the position of Crew Leader Supervisor.

Description:

Provides services to commercial customers by the proper and timely execution of lawn and landscape functions in the summer months; and snow clearing functions in the winter months. Responsibilities include assigning tasks to crew members based on work schedules, keeping workers on task, ensuring time sheets are completed accurately and inspecting quality of work to ensure job requirements are met.



Duties & Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties >Supervise up to five crew members and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HR policies and procedures. >Ensure crew members follow all Health & Safety regulations including wearing approved protective equipment. >Work along with crew members in completing landscape maintenance work, including the use of riding mowers, walk behind mowers, push mowers and a variety of power and non-powered hand tools. >Work directly with crew during winter operations. >Assign tasks to crew members based on work schedules and keeps workers on task both for summer and winter work. >Bring lawn, tree, shrub and flower problems in the summer months and ice control problems in the winter months to the attention of supervisors. >Complete time sheets and inspect the quality of work to ensure job requirements are met. >Instruct crew members on proper work standards and health & safety policies and procedures. > Drive company vehicle (and trailer) to customer locations. >Interact with customers to resolve issues or answer questions. >Operate, train on and maintain a variety of hand tools and equipment. >Able to Operate Heavy equipment a must .



Education and/or Experience:

A college or horticultural school or equivalent; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: as required by Federal and Provincial laws. Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.

Language Skills: Ability to: Read and write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; Effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, employees and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to: Calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, volume and metric grams. Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

Must frequently lift/or move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to fifty pounds. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is moderate. Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
